S.C. Cross was raised in Miami, Florida and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, summa cum laude, acquiring a Double Bachelors of Arts degree in both political science and communication. S.C Cross then earned a J.D. from The University of Miami School of Law, in Coral Gables, Florida.
After graduation, S.C Cross served as a Miami-Dade County Public Defender for over 5 years. In Miami S.C. Cross “earned stripes” as a criminal defense attorney, representing thousands of people accused of the most serious of crimes. S.C. Cross quickly earned a strong reputation among the defense bar, the prosecution and the bench, winning a large majority of jury trials and earning countless dismissals for clients. In 2005, S.C. Cross moved to California after being recruited by a prominent Southern California law firm. After a few successful years at this firm, decided to start her own practice where S.C Cross continues the passion for defending peoples rights.
S.C. Cross is a member of both the California and Florida bars, as well as many professional and community service organizations. Some of these include; The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Califronia Attorneys for Criminal Justice, The Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Criminal Courts Bar Association. Additionally, a volunteer coach of a local high school mock trial team.
